Official opening of the foundry exhibition

On Wednesday, May 18, the International Museum Day was celebrated at the Whale Museum in Húsavík. Then the official opening of the new foundry exhibition took place, which has finally become a reality. About 40 guests gathered at the museum for that occasion and listened to a talk from Sif Jóhannesdóttir on behalf of the board of the Whale Museum, Guðmund Guðmundsson from the Icelandic Institute of Natural History and Illuga Gunnarsson from the Minister of Education and Culture. Suffice it to say that the new exhibition brought great happiness to those present and will hopefully be a great lever for the museum.

Official opening of the blue whale exhibition

The International Museum Day 2016 was celebrated in the museum on Wednesday the 18th of May. The museum took advantage of the opportunity and officially opened the new blue whale exhibition. About 40 invited guests participated and listened to speeches by Sif Jóhannesdóttir from the museum board, Guðmundur Guðmundsson from the Icelandic Institute of Natural History and the Minister of Education, Science and Culture Illugi Gunnarsson. In brief everyone present was very pleased with the exhibition and hopefully it will bring prosperity to the museum.
