The Spanish artist Renata Ortega has now set up an exhibition where she has painted and drawn her own versions of the main whales that make their home in Iceland's seas.
Renata has also taken care of the design of the Whale Museum's new brochure and decorated two other walls of the museum with her interesting style.
Renata's exhibition is called "Ocean & the Whales" and will be open for at least one year until July 2019.
In the museum's art space, several other artists have exhibited their work in recent years. Last time it was Marine Rees who worked from sperm whale bones. Before that, Sonia Levy showed her work. Renata's exhibition is open during the opening hours of the Whale Museum.
The museum is open every day from 8:30-18:30 this summer.
