The first day of the new manager

There was a lot going on that first day that the new director of the Whale Museum, Jan Aksel Harder Klitgaard, was at work. As you can see, the new office is going well for him and he himself says he is really excited about the future.

The museum's program includes, among other things, joint school visits to elementary schools in the North-East, together with and with Sigurstein Mássyn from the IFAW animal welfare fund, a collaborative project with the Whaling Museum in New Bedford in the USA and an update of the museum's whaling exhibition, to name a few. Not forgetting the concrete slab-frame project, which is being worked on equally. The museum recently received close to 20 applications for volunteer positions at the museum this summer, and it will be exciting to go through them.

There are undeniably bright times ahead and the projects big and small.
