Young people all over the North are encouraged to join and for that UU are offering travel grants for those coming from outside of Húsavík, as well as grants for accommodation for those unable to travel the same day. Vegan lunch, coffee and accompaniments are provided for all participants.
TThe workshop is a great opportunity for young people to make their voices heard and engage in discussion with others who want to influence the future of the ocean around Iceland. The outcomes of the workshop will be presented to the relevant ministers at meetings with the Young Environmentalists in the fall.
The project is supported by Erasmus+ and the workshops in Akureyri and Húsavík are the fourth and fifth meetings hosted by the Icelandic Young Environmentalists around the country, but previously workshops have been held in Ísafjörður, Reykjavík and Egilsstaðir.
Looking forward to seeing you!
