The summer season has begun – longer opening hours and whale watching has resumed.

The summer season has officially begun at the Húsavík Whale Museum and the museum's opening hours have been extended. The museum is now open every day of the week from 9am to 00pm.

April also marks a turning point in whale watching in Húsavík, with all of the town's major whale watching companies – Friends of Moby Dick, Gentle Giants and North Sailing  – have now begun regular sailings in Skjálfandaflói in search of whales.

Guests who go whale watching with any of our great partners receive 20% discount on admission to the Whale Museum upon presentation of a ticketWe also offer discounts for guests who have been whale watching elsewhere in Iceland – all you need to do is show your ticket upon arrival.
