The Húsavík Whale Museum reopened to the public last Saturday the 12th of March after having been closed for six months. Many changes have been made in the exhibitions in the last six months. The blue whale that beached at Skaga in Northwest Iceland in 2010 is ready to be exhibited. More than 300 guests came on the opening day to view this new exhibition and had light refreshments. The skeleton of the blue whale is one of only a few exhibited blue whale skeletons in the world today and it is our hope that as many as possible will come to the museum and view this new exhibition. The museum is open on weekdays from 9am to 2pm and it is free of charge from the 14th to the 18th of March.
